A Suprise Visit

When I planned my stay Friday night (it was Thurday evening.. definitely last minute), I was fortunate enough to talk to Carisa, the owner of The Atrium. She spent quite a bit of time telling me about herself and her properties. Even though visiting her hotel, was way out of my original plans and way... her enthusiasm and description drew me in so I made the reservation. When you drive though Perryville, you do not expect to find a building quite like this one. The outside was beautifully painted black with a floral design.... Walking from the street, through the privacy fenced, beautiful courtyard to get to the entrance, you felt immediately transported to a different place... and almost a different time. As soon as you entered the building, you were greeted by an eclectic ambiance of creativity. The common space was bright, and filled with exotic aromas, with occasional bird song in the backround. This area was mulitiered with wooden gangwalks, overlooking a lower central space filled with all kinds of curios, soaps, and various sundries for sale on an honor system. The lowest level had a pool table, air hockey, games, washer dryer, and other common area amenities. The real treat, however, was walking into our room. The high ceiling had a skylight to shed light on every nook and cranny each of which were filled with a different curiosity to look at. The color scheme was artfully matched to the furnishings. Each item was precariously picked and placed thoughout the room... even down to the unique, artfully colored microwave (that my date wished she could have taken home). The spottless, timeless, bathroom was tastefully done in emerald green tile, and contained every creature comfort including robes, extra large towels, soaps, lotions, hair dryer, and on, and on. The shower had a rain head with plenty of water pressure enough for two! I had completely kept my date in the dark as to our plans following a day of hiking at St. Francis State Park. All I had told her was: We are going out that evening, and that I promise you a place to shower and get ready somewhere beforehand. She was clueless in so far as what was going on when we arrived at a building with the sign The Atrium A Boutique Hotel. Her eyes were openned wide as we walked in and then crossed the wooden bridge towards our room. When we entered our room, she was completely mesmerized and overwhelmed by how beautiful the room was. To my surprise, she was brought to unexpected, happy tears because I had taken the time to research our stay, and had chosen a place as beautiful and special as this was. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Atrium! Thank you Carisa! Doug Winter

The Atrium is the perfect place to stay when visiting Perryville. Positive: We throughly enjoyed our stay at The Atrium. This was one of the cutest boutique hotels I've ever stayed at. My husband and I enjoyed playing pool and hanging out in the outside garden area. The owner made sure that guest had her contact information and seemed to be readily available if we needed anything. Everything that we wanted to do and see during our visit was just steps away from the hotel, making it the perfect location. I loved visiting the two little shops located inside the hotel. A business owner supporting other local businesses speaks volumes for the hotel owners character. We cannot wait to stay again!

Lovely Stay!

My girlfriends and I had a wonderful weekend at The Atrium. It is a very unique place to stay. The rooms were filled with character and tons of charm. All rooms were very clean and we had everything we needed to be quite comfy. The showers were awesome! It’s located in a great area, close to shopping, restaurants and some nightlife! Definitely will stay there again!
